Reading is more than a school skill. It is a way for children to discover new ideas, understand their world, and imagine possibilities beyond what they already know.
At Lindagrace Care, we want every child to have the opportunity to experience the joy of reading. Through Read, Dream & Grow, we create welcoming spaces where children can explore books, listen to stories, develop their reading skills, and grow in confidence.
We believe that a child who discovers the joy of reading today is building a foundation for learning, creativity, and opportunity tomorrow.
A LOVE OF READING BEGINS WITH A STORY
For some children, books are a familiar part of everyday life. For others, access to books and opportunities to read outside the classroom can be limited.
Read, Dream & Grow seeks to help close that gap by making reading more accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful.
We bring children together to read, listen, ask questions, share ideas, and discover stories that spark their imagination. We also encourage parents, caregivers, and community members to become part of the reading journey.
Our goal is simple: to help more children discover that reading can be something they enjoy, not just something they have to do.
WHAT WE DO

We create regular opportunities for children to read, listen to stories, and talk about books in a friendly and supportive environment.

Through read-aloud sessions and storytelling, children develop listening skills, vocabulary, comprehension, and imagination.
🏡 Reading at Home
We encourage parents and caregivers to make reading a shared family activity through simple, practical reading activities.
✏️ Creative Reading
Children express what they discover through drawing, writing, drama, poetry, and other creative activities.
🎒 Book Sharing
We seek to increase children’s access to age-appropriate books through book-sharing activities and community reading resources.
🌟 Reading Challenges
We encourage children to set reading goals, explore new books, and celebrate their progress.
WHY READING MATTERS
Reading helps children build the confidence to learn.
When children read regularly, they have more opportunities to develop their vocabulary, understand new ideas, and express themselves.
But reading is also about imagination.
A story can introduce a child to a different place, help them see the world through another person’s eyes, or inspire them to dream about what they might become.
We want children to see books as a source of knowledge, creativity, and possibility.
